Job Title: Lead Electrical Technician

General Role Responsibilities
Our Lead Electrical Technicians will be part of leading a production driven team, performing electrical installations and troubleshooting for a variety of residential and/or commercial projects.

Oversee, perform and direct electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment, while following the Company's and customer policies, procedures, safety rules, and federal and state laws.
Must be able to wire, terminate and understand electrical drawings and work independently or as an integrated team to complete complex critical electrical tie-ins and outages.
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a reasonable amount of time determined by the project supervisor.
Participate in and provide support for team initiatives in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards at all times.
Capable of leading a team of technicians composed of both Mid-Level and/or Apprentice Electricians.
Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment are kept in order and that the work area is always kept clean.
Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
Produce quantity of work equal to the job requirements and company standards.
Produce quality work that meets or exceeds National Electrical Code requirements.
Think ahead as to show how to spend valuable time for maximum production.
Maintain a positive attitude toward completing a job and complying with all company policies.
Assure that all job-related paperwork is being promptly and accurately completed by mid and apprentice technicians and/or self.
Represent the company with great professionalism and customer service.
Be a punctual and reliable team member.
Attend required staff meetings and training classes.
Must be willing to travel anywhere within the DFW area.
Working Conditions
Job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (Porta-Potties).
Job requires employees to have required personal tools with them at all times (waist tool belt as worn weighs approximately 30 lbs.).
Work from all type ladders (step ladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders, and all size extension ladders and carry and relocate up to 12' step ladders by oneself.)
Employee's personal weight and personal tools cannot exceed the weight limit of the ladder (Class 1 - 250 lbs; Class 1A - 300 lbs).
Perform work at various heights, up to 90' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas.
Work in restricted areas (switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics).
Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat and safety glasses at all times) and respirator when required.
Able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.
Physical Functions
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
Lift about 50 pounds throughout the day.
Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
Constantly moving on your feet.
Climb ladders (all types).
Completing overhead work for full day assignments.
Must be able to make transition from employee parking areas or streets into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A. approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction, but acceptable for use.
Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
Possess good hearing (normal or corrected).
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions including jobsite directions, maps, and instructional manuals.
Ability to follow verbal instructions.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience as a residential and/or commercial electrician.
Texas State Journeyman Electrical License (Required).
Valid State Driver’s License (Required).
Reliable transportation.
Good attendance and punctuality.
Must be self-motivated and willing to work from descriptions and blue prints.
Experience and proficiency running electrical conduit with precision expertise.
Must have layout capabilities.
Must have a good attitude and be willing to work with other craftsmen.
Must be hard working and have the drive and determination to complete the task at hand.
Must be dependable and willing to complete the project at hand from start to finish.
Eligible to work in the United States.

In order to facilitate the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, an Apprentice Electrical Technician performs many different tasks. Responsibilities increase with experience through various types of commercial / residential projects. The job will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and residential electrical industry.
Manage various tasks under the direct supervision of a Median Level and/or Lead Electrician.
Ensure that all materials, tools, and equipment are kept in order and that the work area is always kept clean.
Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.
Understand language, terms and skills in use of tools on the job.
Produce quantity of work equal to the job requirements and company standards.
Produce quality work that meets or exceeds National Electrical Code requirements.
